 Outside Westminster Abbey | Members from 3 schools attended the Commonwealth Observance Ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 14 March 2016. |
Children from Polish School in Corby, Latvian School in Northampton and Russian School in Northampton all attended this wonderful service, which celebrates the Commonwealth in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen, Head of the Commonwealth. We were treated to a number of speeches including Kofi Annan and performances including Ellie Goulding and the whole ceremony was broadcast live on the BBC. It was wonderful to be part of this ceremony to see all the countries of the commonwealth come together under one roof. It was a memorable day for all.
