In a proactive move towards student safety, teachers from the ANSS recently underwent First Aid Training on November 11, 2023. Covering essential skills like CPR and wound management, the hands-on session aimed to equip educators with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to unforeseen emergencies. This initiative not only enhances the safety of students but also fosters a community of prepared professionals within ANSS, reinforcing their commitment to providing a secure and supportive learning environment.

The Children's University is part of the University of Northampton and has partnered with the ANSS and their member supplementary schools as well as with mainstream schools to celebrate and recognise extra-curricular learning in supplementary schools, after-school clubs, sports clubs, arts clubs and tourist attractions for 5 to 14 year olds.

The ANSS has been successful in negotiating a training course for teachers of supplementary schools which was run by the School of Education of the University of Northampton.

On Saturday, 17th January our Cluster Co-ordinator, Hannah Starkey delivered a two-hour training on Safeguarding for  the staff of all the supplementary schools that are based at Woodnewton Learning Community.
