NRCSE - National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education
Picture
"The Quality Framework for Supplementary Education Awards determine the level at which schools are meeting that Code of Practice. The Quality Framework for Supplementary Education is a voluntary quality recognition scheme, which is independent, peer-assessed and self-regulated. It is run for and by supplementary schools and those who support them, and administered by the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education (NRCSE). Through supporting organisations to meet the requirements of the voluntary code of practice for supplementary schools, the scheme aims to celebrate and record their achievements and improve quality across the sector. Supplementary Schools can achieve these awards at levels Bronze, Silver and Gold." NRSCE
The Bronze Award

The
NRCSE Quality Framework’s Bronze Award shows that a Supplementary School has all the basic policies and procedures in place to run safely and effectively. You must achieve the bronze level before you can progress to the silver and gold levels.

The Gold Award
The NRCSE Gold Award shows that the Supplementary School has well-established systems in place to ensure consistent good quality. There will be written plans, handbooks, and procedures so that when someone leaves, and a new person joins, the school routines will carry on. The management committee will meet regularly to plan and monitor the work of the school, and the minutes of their meetings will form much of the evidence. The school will have provided evidence that children’s needs, progress and performance are assessed and monitored.
