The Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs presented Ute Nannini with a certificate of Commendation for the work ANSS has achieved in setting up the Youth Forum.  We were very pleased to receive the award and to NAYC for highlighting the work of ANSS and it's member schools.

Congratulations to the Polish Saturday School in Northampton for achieving the NRCSE Gold Award.  This award highlights the excellent set up, exciting and outstanding learning environment and teaching.  This school is a shining example of an excellent supplementary school.  Well done!  The school was presented with their award at the ANSS Concert on Saturday 21st May.

The ANSS Concert was a huge success, thanks to the wonderful performances from our member schools.  There were traditional dances, music and poems from 14 schools celebrating and showcasing a wealth of talent.  We were also pleased to welcome the Mayors of Northampton, Wellingborough and Kettering, Councillors and other special guests to the event.   As well as the performances, we also awarded certificates to the teachers who have completed the OCN accredited Effective Teaching Course, NRCSE Bronze Award to the Greek School and NRCSE Gold Award to both the Polish Wellingborough and Polish Northampton Schools.  Well done to all the students, teachers and parents for a fantastic show!

Thank you to Simon Aston from Northamptonshire County Council for providing our member schools with Cyber Training.   The session was very informative and raised awareness on how to keep children safe online. 30 teachers attended from 9 member schools and all found it very useful.

At the last all schools meeting on 22 March 2016, we were pleased to welcome Jonathan Lewis, Assistant Director Learning, Skills & Education from Northamptonshire County Council and Brenda Easton, Director of Inspiring Neighbourhoods, who both came to talk about partnership working with ANSS and its member schools.  Also we would like to thank the University of Northampton for hosting our meeting.

On Wednesday, 16th March 2016, nine representatives from different communities attended the Year 7 Opening Minds' day at Magdalen College in Brackley. We talked about our experiences coming to England and about the country we grew up in. 

Members from 3 schools attended the Commonwealth Observance Ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 14 March 2016.
